Request

Request Received: 13 August 2025

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I am requesting access to datasets and associated documentation relating to Kenya’s mineral exploration activities. I am currently working on a comprehensive report on the mining sector in Kenya on behalf of the Kenya Chamber of Mines, which represents industry stakeholders and investors in the country.

Specifically, I am seeking any available geochemical datasets, geophysical datasets, and drilling datasets. If available, please also include metadata, survey reports, and any relevant GIS layers or shapefiles associated with these datasets. I am particularly interested in datasets collected under collaborative or donor-funded projects involving the British Geological Survey and the Government of Kenya.
