Request

Request Received: 17 August 2023

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information, if you would be so kind as to share it with me:

1) What do you consider to be 'effective arts leadership' from those working at your organisation?

2) What influence do you believe strong artistic leaders /role models and/or role model-led community projects will be having upon members of the public? Why is this important?

Response

Response Sent: 31 August 2023

We do not consider your queries to fall within the scope of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), given that the wording used implies that you are asking for commentary and opinion to answer the questions you have raised, rather than seeking specific information that is held.

We can, however, confirm that UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) do not hold a written definition of the specific term 'effective arts leadership'.

Under Section 16 of the FOIA, the duty to provide advice and assistance, we would recommend that you direct your questions to the AHRC enquiries inbox, enquiries@ahrc.ukri.org.

We do not believe that it is appropriate to answer general questions or requests for comment via a public forum that is set up for Freedom of Information requests. This is in line with whatdotheyknow.com's own guidance, available here.
