In the recent New Deal for Postgraduate Research, the following reference occurs; "Currently the overall number of international students funded by UKRI appears to be rising though the trend is not universal, with a reduction in EU PGR students. We will keep our overall support for international students under review."
I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act.
Can you please provide me details with how many international doctoral students were funded by UKRI for each of the following financial years: 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23.
For each year, please also state how many doctoral students were funded at each research council.
