Request

Request received: 10 May 2025

I would like to know from April 22 to May 25 what funding was actually successful. I want to know the following, for the above dates:

1.     How much investment in awards, grants or loans were made to UK entities including:

a.     Size of company awarded, Micro, small, medium or large

b.     Industry they are in

  • Area of research and innovation- i.e. manufacturing, bio, software, AI etc.

  • Market place awardee operate in

c.      How much was awarded

d.     The variance of money set aside for awards and actual money spent on awards- IE. if 25M allocated for a round then how much was used of that amount?

e.     The sex of the CEO- male or female

f.       How many times has an awardee been successful? This will show bias to a certain company and not using funds to promote wider success of UK start ups.

2.     How much money has been invested in each year for AI based R&D and:

a.     Who was given that funding?

b.     How much was given

c.      What size of company was given the funding:

  • Micro

  • Small

  • Medium

  • Large

3.     Are the innovative assessors sub-contracted or internal? how does Innovate prevent their biases?
