Request

Request Received: 8 February 2021

I would like to make a freedom of information request for the minutes of ALL Board meetings that have taken place since 13th November, 2019.

Response

Response Sent: 26 February 2021

I can confirm UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) hold the information relevant to your request.

The information you have requested is exempt from disclosure under Section 22(1) of the FOIA as it is intended for future publication. Section 22 is a qualified exemption meaning that it is subject to the public interest test.

UKRI understand that being transparent in regard to board meeting minutes is in the public interest. However, the preparation of the data is still incomplete and we are of the view that releasing the information as it currently stands could be inaccurate, incomplete and misleading and thus not in the public interest.

All 2020 board minutes are expected to be published on the board meeting minutes page1 by 31 March 2021. 2021 board minutes are currently under review and will be published from April 2021 and after each subsequent meeting thereafter.

As the information will be accessible as soon as is reasonably practicable, we have determined that the outcome of the public interest test is insufficient to justify immediate disclosure.
