I have a query about some data that has been used in the past in a publication on Local Enterprise Partnership Economic Outlooks by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
We are running a similar report internally to benchmark against other LEP areas, and one of the sources of data in the data annexe (found here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/904143/lep-indicator-handbook-2019.pdf) contains information on the Number of Active Grants from UK Research Councils and Innovate UK (Number of Grants, 2018) [Table 70].
I wonder if anyone could help provide data on how many grants were active during 2018, 2019 and 2020 by NUTS2 region? I want to know how many grants were active during the course of any one year, irrespective of when they started, and irrespective of whether or not they're still active as of today.
