Request

Request Received: 24 November 2020

I am seeking information as to the process and procedures and specifically the criteria applied by the Henry Royce Institute (https://www.royce.ac.uk) to select or determine the members of the advisory panel convened to create the document M4ET Caloric Energy Conversion Materials.

https://www.royce.ac.uk/content/uploads/2020/10/M4ET-Caloric-Energy-Conversion-Materials-roadmap.pdf

I am really seeking to understand the criteria used to select industrial partners, and how this managed to get reduced to one single micro-company out of the many other possibilities, and to better understand how this situation could have arisen.

The individuals involved in the selection process will likely include:

• Dr Xavier Moya, University of Cambridge (lead author)

• Professor Neil Alford, Imperial College London / Henry Royce Institute (representative of the Royce on the panel).

This will have been in process prior to March 20, 2020 (the date of the first advisory panel meeting) likely covering the period up to 9 months prior to this date.
