This is an FOI request concerning the QUADRAT initiative with Aberdeen & Queens, Belfast universities. The information requested is:
• A copy of the QUADRAT contract signed between Aberdeen University & NERC.

UK Research and Innovation Future Leaders Fellowship Scheme (Cross-Council)At this time, following advice from the FOI Team on narrowing the scope of the request to avoid engaging Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act, I agree to omit data from the following Research Councils:

Science & Technologies Facilities CouncilBy "committee", I mean a group of people who collectively agree on assessing grant applications, making decisions relating to making grant awards, and groups of people who collectively advise on strategy. For example, in the case of BBSRC, this would be Committees A, B, C, D and E, because they are involved in assessment and decision-making. It would also include BBSRC Council, because this body advises on strategy. This would not include the 'Pool of Experts' because they are not collectively engaged in the process of making decisions - their members are invited to join Committees A-E from time to time as required.
If possible, please provide ethnicity data for each ethnic category (for example, Black, Asian or White colleagues), but I would be happy with a replication of the ethnicity-related tables in the "EPSRC Diversity Data on Peer Review Panel April 2019" report (https://epsrc.ukri.org/files/funding/edi/epsrc-peer-review-diversity-data-narrative-andtables-
april-2019-pdf/).It would be informative to understand the evolution of these numbers over time, so if possible, please provide numbers per year, dating back over the last 5 years if available.
In order to make this more meaningful for my purposes, I think it would be important to supplement the data with the number of times that committee meetings have taken place in each year, and the fraction of meetings at which no BAME individual has participated in each year.

RE: Innovate UK Smart Grants: January 2021 (Deadline 26 May 2021). (Applicants were notified of their outcomes on 30 July 2021).
I would be very grateful if you could please provide the below information on the above funding competition for both:
a) Stream 1 projects (6-18 months duration, eligible project costs between £25-£500k), and;
b) Stream 2 projects (19-36 months duration, total eligible project costs between £25K-£2M).
The information I would like to request is as follows:
1. The total number of applications submitted and the number of those that were assessed (i.e. deemed eligible for funding);
2. The overall number of applications awarded funding and a breakdown of how many of these were first-time applications and how many were resubmissions;
3. The total number of applications within each innovation area and the number of those that were successful in each area;
4. The average grant request and project size of the applications successfully awarded funding;
5. The average score of successful applications;
6. The percentages of successful applications that were Industrial Research and Experimental Development;
7. The number of successful Industrial Research and Experimental Development projects that were (i) single applicant/partner, (ii) 2 partners, (iii) 3+ partner;
8. The total funding allocated in this competition round.

1. Please could you tell me if the staff at Daresbury Labs in Halton, Cheshire, used Minette 100% cotton gloves in the 1980's or early 1990's - please see images of the gloves below. If they were used, could you please tell me what they were used for.
2. Please could you tell me if cord similar to the images below was used at the Daresbury Labs, Halton, Cheshire, in the 1980's or early 1990's. The cord was made from cotton and was platted and had a white outer layer. The inner layer was made from natural fibres and man made fibres. The cord was made abroad, possibly Italy. If this cord was used, please could you provide me with information regarding what it was used for.
3. Please could you tell me if in the late 1980's and early 1990's you had an employee at the Daresbury Labs, Halton, Cheshire, called xxxxxx. If xxxxxx worked there, could you please provide an employee photograph too if there is one available.

I'd like to make a request for data on UKRI funded projects which have undergone cuts to their budgets during 2021-22 due to UKRI's reduced ODA budget.
I would like a copy of any spreadsheet that UKRI has which details the cuts to the budgets of grants that have been part of the ODA review as announced by UKRI International Champion Christopher Smith in his 11 March letter: https://www.ukri.org/our-work/ukri-oda-letter-11-march-2021/
If you do not have such spreadsheets or cannot provide them, please can you send me data on all active projects that have undergone any ODA-related cuts, including those under the Global Challenges Research Fund, the Newton Fund, and any other ODA grants programme administered by UKRI.

•The initial value of the 2021-22 allocation
•The revised value of the 2021-22 allocation after the cuts were agreed between the lead research institution and UKRI
